Our
Lady of the
Valley Catholic Church in Fort Payne sent
us a copy of their natural gas cost for the 2002-2003 heating season.
The church has over 16,000 sq. ft. of floor
space, with over 300,000 cubic ft. of heated space maintained at a
constant 67
degrees. That’s the same interior
volume as 37,000 sq. ft. building with 8-foot ceilings. Theie
heating cost were:
Nov. $82.79 Dec. $204.74 Jan. $307.12 Feb. $216.06 Mar. $100.09 Apr. $23.78 January, 2003 had almost two weeks of single digit lows. They are very pleased with this performance. We have a potential customer in Huntsville that paid well over $300 for his Jan. natural gas bill on a 3800 sq. ft. conventional home. With Polysteel his bill would probably have been under $50. |
| Our 2nd Church project, also located in Fort Payne, AL. This is our first project in conjunction with a large commercial builder. The overall size is approximately 80' X 100'. | ![]() |

Two courses of form in place, poured and ready to act as form for the basement floor. This is a shot of the back basement wall, 8" Polysteel forms, #8 (1") rebar and 13' of back fill, love that Polysteel. |
| Most of the Polysteel for the basement is up. Note brick ledge in place, lower left in the photo. The two block wall sections are for the stairwells. | ![]() |

Pouring the basement walls. |
| The business end of the of the boom truck. This job was so large, a boom truck instead of a trailer pump was used. | ![]() |

Going up with the next floor. |
| First floor walls poured and going up with the eaves. | |
| V-buck circular window. All Polysteel poured and the roof is going on. It's important to have the strength of the Polysteel form to guard against blowouts with walls this tall. | |
| Stain glass window installed. | ![]() |
