Protect your family from home intrusion and severe weather with a PolySteel Panic Room/Safe Room. These safe rooms are created by building any room (such as the master bedroom closet, bath room...) with PolySteel walls, pouring a concrete lid (PANELDECK) on top, and installing a reinforced steel door.   Not only does it keep your family safe, a closet Safe Room is a fire-resistant storage area for your valuables and heirlooms, but what's more valuable than the safety of your family..

Real-Life Example

Take a look at the photo below and you'll see that there's no better place to be during severe weather than in a PolySteel home.

On April 19, 1996, an F-3 tornado hit an Urbana, Illinois, neighborhood. The house you see in the photo above was the only two-story house in the neighborhood, making it particularly vulnerable to high winds and tornadoes. However, it was also the only PolySteel home in the neighborhood and, as a result, the only home left standing. The houses on both sides of this home were completely leveled.

Notice the indentations in the walls. These were left by the flying debris that is most often the cause of injury and loss of lives during a tornado.  The debris was stopped cold by the exceptionally strong PolySteel walls, protecting anyone who happened to be inside.

Nationwide, two PolySteel structures have been directly hit by tornadoes. And while they lost their roofs, windows, and bricks, the walls were determined by engineers to be sound and the structures were rebuilt using the original PolySteel walls.
