What is PolySteel®?

PolySteel is a lightweight, high-strength alternative to using steel or lumber in the construction of commercial or residential buildings in both below and above-ground concrete walls. These foam blocks allow poured concrete and steel reinforcement bars to form a concrete reinforced wall, replacing conventional wood framing.

Unlike wooden or aluminum concrete forms, PolySteel stays in place, serving as insulation that far exceeds the latest energy standards. Use of the forms not only saves energy dollars, but also saves construction time by reducing labor costs. These savings are passed on to the homeowner.

Polysteel Form are a new and innovative polystyrene and steel form for the construction of super-insulated concrete walls.  Its core design creates a reinforced concrete wall based on traditional post and beam construction.  The stay-in-place polystyrene provides super insulation on both sides of the wall.

Each embedded 1.5" X 21" galvanized steel furring strip is welded to welded wire steel tie.  These  furring strips (studs) are every 6 inches o.c., providing a uniform, strong and stable anchor for the attachment of any exterior or interior wall covering desired, even heavy kitchen cabinets, something plastic ties can't do.

The interlocking tongue-and-groove design allows the forms to fit easily and securely together and the system requires no special tools or skills to install successfully.

The flexibility and versatility of the polystyrene also allows for the incorporation of curves, angles, slopes, arches, or virtually any creative design element desired.

PolySteel walls are ten times stronger than walls made of wood, creating homes that are much more secure, much better insulated, and more comfortable to live in.
All conventional interior and exterior finishes are easily applied to PolySteel walls, including brick, stone, masonry, siding, and stucco.
